General Contest Rules

WHO CAN ENTER

1.       Entrants must be legal residents of the 48 contiguous states of the United States and District of Columbia who are at least 21 years of age or older.

2.       Employees of WBEV, WXRO, Good Karma Broadcasting, LLC., its members, contest sponsors, affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings) of each of the above are NOT eligible to enter and/or to win.  This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Void outside the United States and where prohibited. 

ENTRY

1.   No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chance of winning.

2.   WBEV, WXRO and Good Karma Broadcasting LLC, are not responsible for any entries that are misdirected, lost, not received or are illegible.

3.   WBEV/WXRO Management shall be the sole arbiters in all matters relating to the contest and the interpretation of contest rules. The decisions of WBEV/WXRO Management shall be final. Entry into WBEV/WXRO contests constitutes agreement by contestant to abide by these rules, as well as any other specific contest rules established by WBEV/WXRO.  Entrants are required to provide truthful information and WBEV/WXRO will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  WBEV/WXRO will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and WBEV/WXRO will also delete any entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

4. You may not win more than one time for 60 days after your previous win. 

PRIZE(S) 

1.      Prizes may not be substituted for cash.

2.      Winners are required to present a valid photo ID in order to pick up any prize. Prizes are not transferable and may not be given, bartered, sold, or exchanged for another prize.

3.      Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent including the winner’s full Social Security Number for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more.  Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in disqualification and forfeiture of the prize.

4.      Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No substitution, transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed. 

5.      By participating in this contest, each contestant hereby consents to the use of contestant's name, voice, likeness, biographical information and his/her participation in the contest for advertising with WBEV & WXRO & Good Karma Broadcasting LLC, and promotional purposes. Contestant agrees that no additional compensation will be paid for such usage.

ODDS OF WINNING/MISCELLANEOUS

1.   As a condition of winning, no contest winner may represent, or appear in an advertisement for any other radio station, other than WBEV/WXRO for a period of one year from the date they win the contest. Winners also may not grant interviews about their participation in any WBEV/WXRO contests or make public comments in any medium, including the Internet without prior written permission of WBEV/WXRO. Additionally, no prize may be used in any way that would be disparaging to WBEV/WXRO.

2.   Station reserves the right to change, alter or modify these rules at any time with or without written notice.  

3.   WBEV/WXRO, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person (and all of their entries) from this contest if he or she tampers with the entry process, the operation of the contest, or the operation of WBEV/WXRO’s web channel or is otherwise in violation of the rules.  WBEV/WXRO further reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the contest, or any part of it, if it is not capable of completion as planned or if any fraud, technical failures or any factor beyond the promoter’s control, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest as determined by WBEV/WXRO in is sole discretion.  Any attempt by an entrant or any person to deliberately damage any WBEV/WXRO web channel or to undermine the legitimate operation of this contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws.  Should such an attempt be made, WBEV/WXRO reserves the right to seek full prosecution and/or damages from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law.  WBEV/WXRO’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of this provision.  If due to circumstances beyond the control of WBEV/WXRO, any competition or prize-related event or travel is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, WBEV/WXRO reserves the right, but not the obligation, to modify, suspend or cancel the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

4.   WBEV/WXRO is not responsible for (i) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize; (ii) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties, malfunctions, disconnections, other technological failures, telephone service outages, delays, dropped calls, or busy signals; or (iii) lost, stolen, mangled, misdelivered, postage due, illegible, incomplete, incorrect, or late entries.
