Dodge County Cautions Motorists On Snow Plows

Mar 19, 2017 -- 6:46am

3/19/17 - Even though winter is winding down, snow plow operators still employ drivers to be careful when driving near their trucks. Dodge County Commissioner Brian Field shared some of those concerns, saying motorists can drive too fast for conditions, urging people to slow down when it is slippery. He adds that it is important to stay back 200 feet and give the drivers enough space to do their job safely, dim your high beams when approaching or following a plow truck, avoid passing the trucks under slippery conditions unless they are doing shoulder or ditch clearing and the pavement is dry, clear your entire car of snow to allow for better visibility, and do not drive with your phone out.
