Beaver Dam Man Found Not Competent In Molestation Case

Sep 13, 2017 -- 7:54am

9/13/17 - The case against a Beaver Dam man accused of having inappropriate contact with two minors was suspended yesterday. Roberto Rodriguez Rodriguez was deemed not competent to stand trial. The court said he will likely become competent in 12 months’ time after treatment at a state mental health facility. Rodriguez is facing two felony counts of First Degree Child Sexual Assault with a Person Under Age 12. Prosecutors say two female minors along with a male juvenile went over to Rodriguez’s’ property to see his cat on July 5. The 32-year-old reportedly took the two girls, who were between the ages of six-to-eight, into his room and assaulted them. They returned the next day to see the cat and one of the minors was allegedly assaulted again. One of the victims told the male juvenile who then informed his parents. Rodriguez later turned himself in. If convicted, he faces a combined maximum of 120 years in prison.
